Proving artisanal prowess with striking materials is the Happy 40 Tube Vase in White from Currey and Company.  The ceramic body of this vase was inspired by the “Art Decoratif” period and is hand-thrown. With the designs that have handles, they require great skill to adjust to the sides of each vase symmetrically. The necks of these decorative vases are straight, which means they do not have a circular edge at the mouth to reinforce them during baking; and the texture is hard to obtain, which means they have to be fired at a special temperature.
