Apricity Wall Sconce

The Apricity Wall Sconce by Currey and Company presents a study in restraint. A travertine disc, warm tan and subtly pitted, frames a frosted white glass globe that softens light into a gentle diffusion. The antique brass hardware recedes into the composition, letting the stone's natural surface become the focal point. When lit, the sconce casts a pale glow that emphasizes the travertine's mineral character, revealing depth in what might otherwise read as a simple circular form. This is the kind of fixture that works equally well flanking a mirror in a bathroom or paired beside a bed, where its quiet presence provides both illumination and visual interest without demanding attention.

Travertine's beauty lies in its variation. Each disc carries its own pattern of small cavities and color shifts, making no two sconces identical. The proportions feel considered rather than oversized, allowing the Apricity to integrate into layered lighting schemes where its warm output complements brighter sources. In a thoughtfully composed interior, it functions as both object and utility, equally comfortable as a supporting element or a subtle anchor.

*As travertine is a natural stone, each disc's surface will exhibit unique variations.
