Blackthorn Wall Sconce

The Blackthorn Wall Sconce by Currey and Company draws from medieval metalwork, its surface alive with texture that catches light differently depending on the hour and angle of view. The aged bronze finish develops a subtle patina over time, deepening the sense of history embedded in the aluminum form. What emerges is not ornament for its own sake but a restrained composition where shadow plays as much a role as the illuminated surface.

This sconce anchors a wall without demanding attention, creating atmosphere through the interplay of light and the dimensional quality of its finish. The weathered bronze suggests both age and intentionality, allowing it to settle into spaces furnished with equal care for material and restraint. Mounted in a hallway or beside a bedroom mirror, it transforms the mundane act of seeing into something quieter and more considered.
