Kelly Wearstler's design for Serax begins with a single observation: how light moves through clear glass when the form is stripped to its essence. The Dune Tumbler Large Set of 8 achieves this through mouth-blown construction, a process that leaves each piece subtly distinct.

The glass catches light differently depending on the angle, the time of day, the contents within. The proportions feel considered rather than arbitrary. The tumbler sits comfortably in the hand without excess weight, the walls thin enough to feel delicate yet substantial enough to suggest permanence. There's a restraint in the silhouette that allows the material itself to become the focal point. Clear glass, unadorned, reveals the quality of the craftsmanship in ways that color or pattern cannot. In a room, these tumblers perform quietly.

Set on a shelf beside a window, they become sculptural objects that shift with the light. On a dining table, they disappear into the setting while somehow anchoring it, their transparency allowing the table and surroundings to remain the primary visual interest. The set of eight suggests a gathering, a deliberate choice to have enough for a full table without excess. The mouth-blown technique means no two pieces are identical.
