Isla Deep Drawer Buffet Smoke Peeled Rattan

The Isla Deep Drawer Buffet arrives as a study of restraint expressed through material. Smoke peeled rattan, tightly wrapped around a slender frame, creates a visual lightness that belies its storage capacity. Three drawers and woven shelves work within a structure where dense basket weave reinforces the top and drawer fronts, grounding the piece without heaviness. Round brass knobs catch light and suggest the kind of tactile consideration that distinguishes thoughtful design.

In a room, the buffet occupies space with quiet presence. The peeled rattan softens in variable tones, shifting slightly as daylight moves across its surface. Positioned against a wall or anchoring a dining area, it functions as both storage and sculptural element, its proportions wide and low enough to feel anchored, yet the slender legs preserve a sense of air beneath. The weave pattern creates subtle shadow play that evolves through the day.

Made Goods has engineered this piece for real use. The reinforced drawer construction and structured shelving suggest durability without announcing it. Rattan's natural variation becomes part of its character, each piece displaying its own grain and tone. The brass hardware ages gracefully, developing patina that deepens over time. This is furniture that settles into a home, becoming more present the longer you live with it.

*Variations in rattan to be expected.
