Isla Deep Drawer Buffet White Peeled Rattan

The Isla Deep Drawer Buffet presents itself with an almost architectural clarity, its white peeled rattan frame rendered in tightly wrapped strands that catch light differently depending on how you move past it. The slender legs feel deliberate in their proportion, anchoring what could otherwise feel weightless. Round brass knobs punctuate three deep drawers, their warmth a quiet counterpoint to the cool, naturally textured surface of the rattan. Woven shelves inside create a secondary rhythm beneath the denser basket weave reinforcement at the top and drawer fronts, suggesting both structural purpose and visual intention.

What makes this piece work in a room is its restraint. Against a pale wall, the white rattan reads almost sculptural; beside darker furnishings, it establishes a breathing space. The depth of the drawers accommodates everyday objects without requiring you to think about organization, while the open shelf space below allows dishes, ceramics, or folded linens to live visibly without clutter. The brass hardware develops a subtle patina over time, becoming less shiny and more integrated into the whole.

The craftsmanship lives in details: how each strand of rattan wraps consistently around the frame, how the joints sit flush, the precision of the weave. This is a piece that improves with age and use, its natural material becoming more nuanced as it settles into a space.

*Variations in rattan to be expected.
