Cadiz Flush Mount Coco Shells

Palecek's Cadiz Flush Mount in cream draws from natural forms. Each hand-carved coco shell is feathered and layered to catch light differently depending on the hour and angle of view. The shells are anchored by wood beads and wrapped abaca rope, materials that soften the geometry of the powder-coated metal frame beneath. What emerges is a fixture that reads as sculpture first, functional object second. The proportions matter here.

The shells radiate outward in a measured way that doesn't overwhelm a standard ceiling height, yet the organic carving prevents the piece from feeling diminished in a generous room. Mounted flush, it becomes part of the architecture rather than an afterthought. In morning light, the cream finish glows warm. By evening, the shadows between the shells deepen, creating subtle movement across the surface.
