Bertram Game Table Soft Gray

The Bertram Game Table in Soft Gray by Villa & House brings a measured lightness to the familiar square table form. Its straight-grain cerused oak is finished in a soft gray that allows the wood’s markings to remain visible, while a hand-laid chevron veneer top gives the surface quiet direction and texture. Beneath it, quarter-sawn solid oak legs are hand-carved and tapered, their double-sided coving lending a subtle refinement rather than ornament.

Four asymmetrical drawers extend across two-thirds of each side, creating an unusual balance of clean geometry and generous storage. Veneer interiors and soft-close glides make room for cards, game pieces, or the small things that gather during the day; hand-cast brushed brass pulls and sabots add a warm note against the gray oak. In an eat-in kitchen, it can comfortably serve as a dining table, with drawers keeping napkins and playing cards close at hand. Its considered proportions and detailed craftsmanship let it settle naturally into a room without overwhelming it.
