Patas Bowl Bronze

The Patas Bowl in Bronze by Villa & House rises on four gilded feet, rendered with surprising anatomical detail. toes, arches, and all. The name, borrowed from Spanish for an animal's leg, lands as gentle visual wit. Against the textured bronze basin, the gold leaf feet create an immediate visual contrast. the playful counterpoint keeps what might otherwise be a purely functional object from feeling austere.

The rounded form is deliberately simple, allowing the unexpected support system to carry the entire personality. A felted base protects surfaces below. Whether holding keys on an entry console, small objects on a desk, or items on a bar cart, the bowl works best in spaces where its humor can be noticed quietly, where someone might pause and smile upon discovering those very deliberate toes.
