Empire Floor Mirror Antique Brass

The Empire Floor Mirror in Antique Brass from Arteriors Home presents itself as a sculptural object first, a reflecting surface second. Cast aluminum folded into faceted planes, it draws from origami and geometric abstraction to create a form that catches light differently depending on the hour and angle of view. The antique brass finish develops a patina over time, softening the angular geometry with warm, lived-in tones. Positioned in a room, it functions less as a traditional mirror and more as a talisman that multiplies light and visual interest without demanding to be the center of attention.

The fractured surface fragments reflections into unexpected compositions, suggesting depth and movement where a flat mirror would simply bounce back an image. Laura Kirar's design balances ornamental presence with restraint, offering something that belongs equally in a contemporary interior or alongside collected vintage furnishings. The scale and materiality make it an anchor for a corner or entryway.
